1. Use of Service

9jaAuction provides an online platform for vehicle auctions. By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes
  • Not engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresentation
  • Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations

2. Account Registration

To participate in auctions, you must create an account. When registering:

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to register and use our services.
Verification: We may require identity verification documents before allowing you to bid or list vehicles.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Bidding and Auction Rules

All bids placed on 9jaAuction are binding contracts. By placing a bid, you agree to:

Binding Commitment: All bids are legally binding. If you are the winning bidder, you must complete the purchase.
Payment: Payment must be made within 48 hours of winning an auction unless otherwise specified.
Reserve Prices: Some auctions may have reserve prices. The vehicle will not be sold if bidding doesn't meet the reserve.
Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium may be added to the final bid price.

4. Seller Responsibilities

If you list a vehicle for auction, you agree to:

Accurate Descriptions: Provide truthful, accurate, and complete descriptions of vehicles.
Legal Ownership: You must have legal title to the vehicle and the right to sell it.
Documentation: Provide all necessary documentation including valid ownership papers.
Completion: Complete the sale to the winning bidder unless the reserve price is not met.

5. Fees and Payments

9jaAuction charges fees for its services:

Seller Fees: Sellers pay a commission on successful sales, as specified in the seller agreement.
Buyer Fees: Buyers may pay a buyer's premium and applicable taxes.
Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers, cards, and other approved payment methods.
Refunds: All sales are final. Refunds are only provided in exceptional circumstances as determined by 9jaAuction.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Important: All vehicles are sold "as is" without any warranty or guarantee. 9jaAuction does not guarantee the accuracy of vehicle descriptions, condition reports, or seller representations. Buyers are responsible for inspecting vehicles before bidding.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. 9jaAuction makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation of the service or the information, content, or materials included.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 9jaAuction shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Disputes between buyers and sellers
  • Vehicle defects, mechanical issues, or undisclosed damage
  • Service interruptions or technical failures

8. Intellectual Property

All content on 9jaAuction, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of 9jaAuction or its licensors and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms of Service on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
