Licensing & Documentation

Required documents to bid and buy in live online auctions.

To participate in 9jaAuction's online vehicle auctions, all members must submit proper identification and business documentation. Below are the requirements for individual and business accounts.

1

Photo Identification

Mandatory

All members must provide a valid, government-issued photo ID. We accept:

  • Nigerian National Identity Card (NIMC)
  • International Passport
  • Nigerian Driver's License
  • Voter's Card (with photograph)

Your ID must be current (not expired), clearly readable, and submitted as a scan or high-quality photo — not a photocopy.

2

Business Registration (CAC)

Business Accounts

Business accounts need a valid Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration certificate. You'll need to submit:

  • CAC Certificate of Incorporation
  • Form CO2 (Particulars of Directors)
  • Form CO7 (Notice of Registered Address)
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN)

You can register at cac.gov.ng or visit any CAC office. Online processing typically takes 1–3 business days and costs between ₦10,000 – ₦50,000 depending on your business type.

3

Vehicle Dealer License

Recommended

While not required for all buyers, a Vehicle Dealer License significantly increases your buying power and is mandatory for members who plan to resell vehicles commercially. It grants access to "Dealer Only" inventory.
